Memorial Day Festival in The Woodlands | FREE – Pay tribute to all military service men and women and honor veterans at the Memorial Day Festival in The Woodlands. The festival features live music, children’s activities, strolling entertainers, a Community Covenant signing and a fireworks display at Town Green Park. 4pm to 9pm.

Memorial Day Ceremony at Houston National Cemetery Honor fallen war heroes at the Houston National Cemetery, where the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs will host a commemorative ceremony in observance of Memorial Day.

Memorial Day Remembrance at George Ranch Historical Park | Saturday and Monday – Enjoy a special Memorial Day Remembrance at the George Ranch Historical Park and discover Memorial Day’s historic roots. There will also be a special Memorial Day Lunch. Tickets range from $10 to $15. Cost for the meal is $15 for adults ages 13 and older; $12 for children ages 5 to 12 and $4 for children 4 and under. 9am both days

Galveston Family Beach Challenge

The challenge, which will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., will transform a portion of Stewart Beach into a gigantic obstacle course, allowing families to compete in life-size versions of classic games. The course will include 14 stations for kids and adults with eight new stations this year, including a bean bag game, a life-size battle ship game, limbo, volley balloon, “beam” bag, giant Connect Four and more. Classic favorites like giant Jenga and dominoes, sack races and sandcastle building will return this year as well.
