Shopping

  • If you’re new to the neighborhood or visiting Old Town Spring, swing by J & B Collectibles at 204 Main Street. The shop is the number one source of fine lace and elegant glass creations. These creations are made from Heritage Lace, Heisey glass, Fenton glass, Haviland china, Mosser glass and Rossie glass. Table runners, tiers, floral bowls, pitchers, and slippers are also available.
  • One of the most adorable places you’ll ever come across in Texas is Thad’s. A specialty store in Old Town Spring, it features the most delightful items for your home. From cabinets and chalkboards to mini cloches and lamp fragrances, Thad’s can transform your house into a lovely home.

Dining

  • When you’re in Old Town Spring, you definitely shouldn’t miss Wunsche Bros. Café and Saloon. It is one of the oldest establishments in the town. Originally a hotel and saloon, it now offers delicious hamburgers and other American classics. Satisfy your cravings with their Cajun-grilled fish or their chicken fried steak.
  • There’s nothing quite like good old Texan comfort food. Luckily, Puffabellys Old Depot Restaurant in Old Town Spring serves the best casseroles in the area. With mouthwatering selections like their spud and Texas sampler, you’ll definitely keep coming back for more. Patrons can also order Casseroles to go. For less than $40, you can take home scrumptious dishes like their Parmesan & Cheddar Chicken Casserole or Italian Sausage & Beef Lasagna.

Visit Puffabellys on Wednesdays for their live musical numbers and on Thursdays for the open mic night.

  • When it’s crawfish season, there’s one special place in Old Town Spring you should visit—Loose Caboose. It’s where you can munch on delicious homemade barbecue and perfectly seasoned crawfish. Don’t forget to pair your meals with fresh potato salad and beans.
  • For great Mediterranean flavors, try The Black Sheep Bistro. Cozy and intimate, it’s a perfect place to catch up with friends or have a romantic dinner. The menu offers plenty of wonderful dishes, including the braised lamb shank, filet mignon, the escargot stuffed mushroom, and curried cauliflower soup.

Events

  • For 30 years now, the Texas Crawfish and Music Festival has been dominating the festival scene in Old Town Spring. Held every end of April to the first week of May, the event features artists of all genres. Attendees will enjoy performances by Joe Nichols, Flyleaf and the Charlie Daniels Band.
  •  An annual PetFest is held every October 17 and 18 to help raise awareness and funds for homeless animals.During the event, fun dog shows and costume contests are held for a good cause for the furry residents and to bring joy to the neighborhood.
